This vegetable-tanned steer leather seat is constructed from a single piece of the toughest part of the hide: the bend / butt section. I’ve carefully controlled the oil-wax ratio in my leather treatment to retain the tensile strength while making it moisture resistant. Saddle stitched by hand and stress points are additionally reinforced with a total of 12 solid brass rivets.
